(Tribune Newspapers) Clip coupons or load them onto a supermarket loyalty card. Say you can save $6 each week this way, that would add up to $312 a year on groceries. Sign up for loyalty cards at the supermarkets, then register them at Web sites that let you download coupons onto them, including shortcuts.com and pgesaver.com.

Community health centers provide care to anyone in need at no cost or on a sliding scale based on income. Not all centers have the same services, but staff members can refer you to clinics for services they don't provide. Find a center by visiting the Find A Health Center Web site — findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov — or calling 888-275-4772.

Use healthfinder.gov, which was developed by the federal Department of Health and Human Services. It offers online screening tests, personalized health advice, a health care locator and an annual calendar of health observances, accessible by clicking the calendar icon to the left of the home page. It also includes health information as well as referrals to low-cost and free care.
